Surveying Virtual Communication Networks - Millennium Project - Workpackage 1
by Evelien Weller, Chris Berkouwer, Frank van der Meijden, Hein Schreuder
The Millennium Project “More than the Sum of its Parts” (MDDSDD) is a three year endeavour that seeks to operationalise a comprehensive approach to interventions in
fragile states, and to enhance our understanding of what works and what does not. The project establishes two web-based Communities of Practice for Sudan and Burundi, with the aim to enhance communication and coordination between Dutch ministries, NGOs and businesses. This should allow for more effective use of the available knowledge and resources, and eventually lead to more effective joint engagement by Dutch actors in these countries. This report is the result of a comparative survey to learn from others how to best set up and maintain a virtual communication network to be used by a wide variety of actors, and to identify best practices and lessons learned.
