The conference which was held on Wednesday 7 December 2011 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, was a great success. In collaboration with the Ministry and our partners, we brought together a high quality selection of participants from international industries, universities, ministries and non-governmental organizations. This conference was organized to raise awareness and explore possibilities for further collaboration.

Op 26 september vond het eerste Haagse Innovatiedebat plaats met als thema “Grondstoffen en het Topsectorenbeleid”. Het debat richtte zich op de vraag of de Nederlandse overheid en het bedrijfsleven voldoende anticiperen op de kansen en bedreigingen die gepaard gaan met de internationale ontwikkelingen op het gebied van grondstoffen. Met name werd stil gestaan bij hoe rol van de overheid en publiek-private samenwerking op dit dossier ingevuld zouden moeten worden.
