Russia has emerged as a necessary partner for Washington and the West on sensitive issues affecting international security such as Syria, or the Iran nuclear deal. And from time to time it seems Berlin and Paris are also open to a rapprochement with Moscow. However, the West will have to walk a tightrope. The price we will pay for striking a bargain with Moscow on Ukraine for example is high says Sijbren de Jong to Slovak Pravda newspaper.
