OPEC again failed to declare output quota at last Thursday’s meeting. This was not surprising in itself, as nobody expected the organization to come forward with such a statement. The divisions within the organization are simply too great and the Iranian position was clear from the outset.
That said, OPEC’s strategy of pressuring high-cost producers appears to be working slowly, but surely say Sijbren de Jong (HCSS) and Cyril Widdershoven (MEA Risks) to Anadolu News Agency from Turkey.
