On Friday October 23rd, The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies will host Ambassador Steven Pifer, currently a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, to exchange views on Transatlantic relations and the Russia-Ukraine crisis.
Ambassador Pifer was the U.S. envoy to Ukraine between 1998-2000, and deputy assistant secretary of state in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs with responsibilities for Russia and Ukraine (2001-2004). At the Brookings Institution, ambassador Pifer covers regional issues focusing on arms control, Russia and Ukraine.
